Carlos Bueno is the Director of Construction for Lionheart Capital. Bueno has more than 35 years of professional experience, having spent 19 years in Brazil, 16 years in the USA and 5 years in Africa. Bueno has held several construction management positions in heavy construction projects, such as ports, highway, bridges and industrial facilities as nuclear power plant, steel rolling mill and oil platforms.
Bueno moved into Real Estate Development in the USA in 2000, first with the Flagler Group as Vice President of Construction and then with Greenwich Group as Vice President in charge of Construction Management and Development responsible for commercial and residential developments, hotels and resorts in the USA and Caribbean.
Bueno rejoined Odebrecht in 2008 to work in new projects in Africa; first an EPCM contract in Liberia. In Ghana He was in charge of Business Development and implementation of a new hydropower plant project. Bueno has worked as the Implementation Manager for the MoatizeCoal Mine Expansion Project in Mozambique. Five years later, Bueno joined Odebrecht Defense and E-Technology to develop Defense projects for the Brazilian armed forces.
In 2016, Bueno moved back to the USA and joined Lionheart Capital as Director of Construction for The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach. His more than 35 years of managerial and technical experience in Engineering Construction Management and Development in Brazil, United States, Liberia, Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania and Mozambique enabled him to make major contributions to the companies he worked for.
Bueno holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. He is a Petrobras Quality-Control Award recipient, a Certified General Contractor by the State of Florida, and has attended several extension courses in Brazil and in the USA.
